Be still
Rest your racing mind and
Slow your beating heart
Be still
For you are home
Home. It is not four walls,
built high with a roof
Or the streets where you played
And roamed in your youth
Home is not material; it is not a house
It’s not bricks and mortar, ‘second on the left – after the roundabouts’
Home cannot be sold
Nor can it be bought
It is not a dream, Nor is it a thought
Home
Home is belonging
It’s being found
It is being heard
Without making a sound
It’s where your differences might set you apart
But never does it torment, Home is the muse of your art
Home is where, in a single moment, you can be strong and then you can be weak
You’re held aloft, can hide away, and explore what makes you unique
Home is found in a story
That unfolded two thousand years past
For God so loved world, that he called to the outcast
You are loved
You belong
You do not have to be smart
You do not have to be strong
Be small, be weak
Be quiet, be meek
Be Red, Be blue
Be green, be you
So call off the search
There’s no need to roam
Relax, be still
You are home
Be still
Rest your racing mind and
Slow your beating heart
Be still
For you are home
