Our Children and Families work consists of our church groups for children - click here for more details; as well as a range of projects based throughout the Hub.
A focal space is the Oasis Playspace, our children’s centre in Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park where we run several activities:
- Hullabaloo - a stay-and-play session for parents/carers and their 0-5s, that has been running for over a decade on Monday and Friday mornings, 10-11.30am.
- Regular holiday clubs and family activities.
- The space is available to hire for children’s parties – click here for more detail.
- Our after-school club which serves the three local primary schools surrounding the park: St. George's, St. Jude's and Charlotte Sharman.
The team is led by Louisa Parrales, our Children & Family Development Worker. Louisa supports children and families as they link to all aspects of Oasis’s work throughout the Hub, so also runs projects based at Oasis Academy Johanna, our local primary school where Louisa is the chaplain. For more information on our work at Johanna, please click here.
We take the safety and well-being of children seriously and ensure all workers with responsibility for children have DBS checks and receive regular appropriate training. You can view our safeguarding policy here.
