Ensuring that no-one in Waterloo struggles with unmanageable debt alone.
Who We Are
Oasis Debt Advice is an independent debt advice service that exists to help anyone struggling with unmanageable debt, whatever the cause.
Our service is completely free and we offer advice, education, practical assistance and ongoing support to anyone who needs it, regardless of background or circumstances.
Oasis Debt Advice aims to help create a local community where people of all ages and situations feel included, know that they can contribute and realise a deep sense of belonging. We are also part of Community Money Advice, a network of debt advice centres nationwide. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
What We Do
Oasis Debt Advice has a team of trained, predominately volunteer debt advisors. Together they will help you to work through a process of investigating your money issues and developing solutions that will help to resolve your debt issues.
We are here to help anyone struggling with debt and we deal with a wide range of issues from credit card debt, council tax arrears, utility bills , mortgage or rent arrears, through to threatened eviction or county court action.
The process starts by matching you with an advisor who will help you through the process; a second advisor will join them. We then have an initial meeting to find out more about your situation and building a picture of your income and expenditure. Once we have a clear understanding of your financial situation we will discuss your options with you and together plan the best course of action.
Together We Can
- Endeavour to establish a fair and affordable solution with your creditors
- Negotiate with creditors on your behalf as appropriate
- Develop the most appropriate strategy for you, including a debt relief order or bankruptcy if necessary
- Whatever we decide together, we will help you through the entire process. Our service is free, impartial and confidential!
