Why Your Support Matters

Your commitment will directly support people like Eliza*, a Bolivian immigrant who recently moved to London via Spain. Eliza’s journey was fraught with challenges—she struggled to find stable housing and faced significant language barriers that made it difficult for her to settle into her new life.

Eliza found a lifeline through our Oasis English Café, where she connected with an Oasis team member who recognised her need for further support. Our advice team quickly stepped in, helping Eliza secure a safe place to live within days.

But we didn’t stop there. We worked with Eliza to maximize her family’s income and minimise their expenses, so that the family could live more comfortably and have both financial stability and independence.

Through holistic and intentional support, we provided Eliza with the tools she needed for long-term stability. Today, Eliza is thriving—her husband has secured a full-time job as a chef, she is learning English and attending college part-time, whilst her young daughter is flourishing in nursery.
