Get Involved

Wherever you are on your journey you're welcome to become a part of a genuine local community. There are a number of ways you can be part of us from being part of Church 'small groups' to helping run the Waterloo Foodbank.  Read on to find out more...

Getting started
It can be pretty intimidating to find your way into a new community. If you just want to chat or make first contact you can call us on 020 7921 4205 or email the team on

You are very welcome to come and join us at Oasis Church Waterloo on a Sunday morning (at 11am) or evening (at 6.30pm) - both services are friendly and informal, and there's always plenty of time to meet us over a cup of tea or coffee afterwards.

Serving the community is an essential part of Oasis Hub Waterloo. We can offer a wide range of short and long term opportunities to get involved:

The Waterloo Foodbank works in partnership with frontline care professionals and South Bank Churches to identify individuals and families in need in the local area and provide them with emergency food.

We also run a number of community groups, including a Community Choir. We can also support you if you want to start a new group.

We work in partnership with Guys & St. Thomas’ Hospital and currently have a small team working within A&E.

There are opportunities at Oasis Academy Johanna or Oasis Academy South Bank to read with a child during lunchtime, support families, mentor, provide after school and holiday clubs.

And of course you can always be part of our church's Sunday Services teams; everything from making teas and coffees, welcoming people, playing in the band, helping count the offering, using sound and visuals equipment, helping mini, kids and youth church groups. We’d love you to be part of our services.

Volunteers are the life-blood of the Oasis Hub Waterloo community - without them, we simply couldn't do what we do. Volunteering at Oasis Church Waterloo is a chance to gain valuable work experience, learn new skills, meet new people and contribute to the life of the community. There are a wide variety of opportunities here, whether it's an hour on Sunday, an entire day during the week, helping with our Childrens, Youth and Familes work, an evening project or something you can do at home - there's always a way for you to get plugged in!

If you'd like to know more about how to get involved, please contact to say hello or request more information.
