WORK WITH US
Help build our community movement in Waterloo
At Oasis Hub Waterloo our vision is to help build a community where everyone is included, and everyone is supported to reach their God-given potential and to live life in all its fullness.
In 2003 our founder Steve Chalke became the minister of Oasis Church Waterloo and, inspired by the life and person of Jesus, we looked to open the doors wide. We opened a coffee shop, then we started a youth football team, then more youth and children’s work, then a befriending scheme for older local residents, then a foodbank… and over the years we’ve added a lot more.
Through all this growth we’re still committed to our ethos, and the church is still at the heart of all we do. We never impose the beliefs that underpin our ethos on anyone, but regardless of whether they have any religious belief, all our employees work towards displaying the same core values:
- A passion to include everyone
- A desire to treat everyone equally, respecting differences
- A commitment to healthy, open relationships
- A deep sense of hope that things can change and be transformed
- A sense of perseverance to keep us going for the long haul
We’ve now been involved in the Waterloo community for almost two decades, and we’re still striving to help people of all ages and situations feel included, to know that they can contribute and realise a deep sense of belonging. We’d love you to join us.
